It’s a New Year! 2018 Make It Count!
How many people are still holding strong on their New Years Resolutions. We are two weeks into 2018 and the newness and excitement of the New Year is beginning to slowly wear away. Everything is getting back to the normal! Most people including myself, set goals and resolutions that probably didn’t even make it into the first week of 2018. Huffington Post Did a study in December of 2016 that said only 8% of people who make resolutions actually stick to them. That’s an abysmal statistic. I’ll be the first to tell you I’m not part of that 8%. It’s extremely hard to enact something new overnight. Change doesn’t just happen because you want it too. If saying was as easy as doing I would be a millionaire by now. (Maybe not)
But who knows, what could we actually accomplish by holding fast, doing what we say, saying what we mean. How do we get to that Point!? Saying things you don’t intend on doing, or don’t necessarily mean, is not something we should bring with us into 2018.
I have tried to chart out goals, map out the road I want to take as I travel through the last years of my Twenties. It’s just not that easy. You can’t plan for the unexpected. You can’t speak your way into success, you have to be actively pursuing GOALS, and that comes not only through your words but through your actions as well. I find myself oftentimes saying the same things over and over! Why? Because my actions speak louder than my words. How bad do you really want it? Are you willing to sacrifice now to get to where you want to be? Don’t allow yourself to become stagnant and complacent. Things don’t just fix themselves, you have to go out an earn it. Make a way! There’s no better time than the present to achieve.
What are dreams without Goals?!? Dreams without goals are nothing more than Dreams, and that’s all they will ever be.
“You have these dreams. Dreams without goals remain dreams and fuel disappointment.”
Hold on to your Dreams. Set goals and pursue after them. Not only through your words but through your actions. Make 2018 your year! I’m sure going to try!
